This child and youth friendly communities website is designed to be an ideas bank to share ways you can build your community to better meet the needs of children and youth. It is based on the Society for Children and Youth of BC's ground breaking Child and Youth Friendly Toolkits.

Each “friendliness feature” is informed by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and well-researched best practices on what makes a healthy community for children and youth. This is both a rights-based and evidence-based approach.The website has been designed as an evolving resource. At the bottom of every page is an opportunity to contribute. We want to hear from you!
